Introduction to the Characteristics of the Shengshi Zhonghua Cymbidium sinense Variety
Shengshi Zhonghua is an outstanding representative variety of variegated-leaf Cymbidium sinense (Chinese cymbidium) produced in mainland China, named and registered by Mr. Feng of Beijiao Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province. This variety has bright and stable variegation colors, thick and glutinous leaf texture, and the colored parts are relatively tolerant of strong light, with lower environmental requirements than China Prince. The variegation produced by Shengshi Zhonghua is mainly medium-blotch variegation and medium-clear variegation; the medium-clear variegation comes in yellow and white types, both of which show their patterns early and do not fade later. For flowering, Golden Shengshi is the best, a vivid peach-red flower with a dark green cap, a bicolor flower.
