Introduction and Appreciation of the New World Hedding Cymbidium goeringii Variety
Dug up by Hu Huayuan of Shaoxing on Kuaiji Mountain in 1997, it produced a large lotus-petal flower in 2000. The leaves are semi-erect, emerald green and robust. The three outer petals are short and round, the pistil column is tightly clasped by the petals, and the round lip bears a red patch so large that it covers the entire lip, leaving only a beautiful white edge. The flower shape is neat and beautiful, with a mellow fragrance. This flower is a fine example among newly discovered lotus-petal varieties.
