This variety is a prolific grower and bloomer, making it a great choice for beginners! A celebrated red-flowered cultivar, with leaf posture of the intermediate-drooping type, new shoots bright red, naturally turning to their inherent color once the plant matures, and blooms of bright red flowers (more light makes the flowers redder, and converselythe color is paler), quite striking, with a proper, well-formed flower shape. It was selected in 1970 by the mayor of Keelung, Taiwan, China, and named after him. It is an old variety, and the price is also very cheap. You can admire the new shoots during the shoot stage, and enjoy the flowers and their fragrance when it blooms, so it can be said to offer excellent value for money. Its only shortcoming is that: plants that have just traveled across the ocean have a fairly high probability of developing "silk pulling" (or symptoms similar to silk pulling). Well-established, acclimated plants fare better.
