In the Gengshen year of the Republic of China (1920), it was selected by Zhu Sheng'an of Shanghai (some write it as "Zhu Shenghui," which is clearly inappropriate).
New shoots are purplish-red, leaves are 20-28cm long, 0.6-0.8cm wide, dark green and lusterless, with an obliquely drooping leaf posture.
The flower scape is tall, exceeding the leaf surface; the pedicel is pale pink, and the bud sheath is purple-green. The three outer petals have large round heads, narrow bases, tight edges, and thick, glutinous, moist petal flesh; the two lateral sepals form a straight-line shoulder. Each sepal has a short red line in the center. The petals form a semi-hard cupped hold-heart, with a heavy "white head" at the tip of the hold. The lip is a large round tongue; on the tongue surface there is a red heart-shaped patch, very bright and beautiful. The flower form is well-proportioned, with the only shortcoming being that "the color is not pure green."
