The famous flower 'Seagull' by Shen Yuanru, known as the Orchid King of the Jiangnan region. Petal type: Green Huilan Narcissus petal. History: Selected by Shen Yuanru of Wuxi before the liberation. Characteristics: The three petals are long and broad; as the petals just begin to open and spread, the two side petals immediately take on a twisted form, with a shallow soft pouch and a Liu Hai tongue. It is a novel and rare variety among orchid and huilan petal types.

Characteristics: Five petals set in separate segments, short foot with a round head, tightly edged, thick petal flesh, soft silkworm-moth pouch, level shoulders, green color, large Ruyi curled tongue. Leaves broad, semi-pendant.
