Variety Characteristics of the Fairy Green Plum Cymbidium (Cymbidium faberi)

Orchids 0 views
Green-shelled plum petal; selected in the early years of the Republic of China by orchid growers in Yixing. Also known as Yixing Plum; because the flower shape closely resembles the old Shanghai Plum, it is also called Later Shanghai Plum. The three petals are round-headed and narrowly long, with separated segments; the lip-holding petals form sheep-horn pockets, and the tongue is long and does not curl. Some people often pass this variety off as the old Shanghai Plum for sale. The bracts are green. It often produces plum-form narcissus petals.
