Emei Xian: a famous four-season orchid variety from Sichuan, it won the overall runner-up honor at the First China Four-Season Orchid Expo in August 1990, and subsequently won gold awards and special gold awards multiple times at major orchid shows. The Emei Xian has leaf types that are slanted-upright or semi-pendulous, with strong plants bearing 3-4 leaves. Its line-art combines multiple art forms including center-translucence, center-spot, full border, brush-tail, and claw-spot striation, often with a single plant combining multiple art forms at once; the leaves are thick and glossy, with silver backing throughout, the new shoots are bright red, and the flowers are strikingly contrasting white-based green-striped striped flowers, complementing the leaf art and forming a harmonious whole - truly a treasure of Jianlan (Cymbidium ensifolium) with both floral and leaf excellence.
