Optimistic about the shiitake mushroom market: Jixian County in Tianjin plans to expand planting scale

In recent years, Jixian County in Tianjin has targeted the shiitake mushroom market, driving local people to grow shiitake mushrooms in line with local conditions, building modern and efficient agriculture, and exploring a new path to prosperity for the people. To speed up the development of the shiitake mushroom industry, relevant departments in Jixian County have actively adjusted the planting structure, encouraging and guiding local villagers to grow shiitake mushrooms. In early 2015, relevant towns and villages transferred more than 200 mu of land, and more than 30 households built 68 shiitake mushroom greenhouses. At the same time, to relieve mushroom growers of their worries, a crop planting professional cooperative was also established, responsible for introducing shiitake mushroom spawn, technical services, management services and other work. At present, the cooperative's membership has grown to more than 300 households. In 2016, the cooperative will further expand the scale of shiitake mushroom cultivation, preparing to transfer more than 50 mu of land and build more than 50 shiitake mushroom greenhouses.
