'Yuhuang Mei' is a name that only appeared last year. After it was published in the Orchid Treasure Book in April and May of last year, its price immediately rose 10 times, truly 10 times. At that time, it went from 400 yuan to 4000 yuan. From my observation, this flower has been circulating in Sichuan for quite some time, and has always been traded as a newly collected wild variety, so the quantity in existence should be considerable. This flower can sometimes produce a lotus-plum flower form. The petals are relatively thin, and the flower shape is between plum and immortal. The main issue is that the outer petals are too long, but the tongue is well formed, and the base of the tongue looks as if it has red rouge applied to it, very attractive. The flower is stable, held above the leaves, and has a full fragrance, making it a very good flower variety. What I dislike most is the leaf shape of this flower. Two words can describe it: ugly. The leaves of this flower, like its outer petals, are long and thin, with pointed leaf tips, which makes the overall effect poor. This flower blooms and produces shoots very readily, and is a variety worth growing. The leaf tips of Yuhuang resemble rat tails.
