Celery fertilizer reduction verification trial completed in Fangshan District, Beijing

In the process of protected vegetable cultivation, fertilizer input is relatively high, and old vegetable fields commonly have the problem of excessive nutrient accumulation. In order to guide base farmers to reasonably reduce fertilizer application, this trial was carried out. The trial selected a greenhouse with relatively high fertility at the base for a celery fertilizer reduction verification trial, with a total of four treatments. Treatment 1 was the farmer's conventional treatment, serving as the control. The other treatments reduced organic fertilizer on the basis of Treatment 1, and Treatment 4 further reduced part of the basal nitrogen fertilizer on the basis of reducing part of the organic fertilizer. Except that the fertilizer treatments were carried out according to the trial, all other measures were carried out according to base management.

On January 5, technicians from the Fangshan District Agricultural Science Institute came to the vegetable planting base in Lucun, Doudian Town, and completed the yield measurement, sampling, and other work for the celery fertilizer reduction verification trial. A total of 24 plant samples and 12 soil samples were taken, and it was preliminarily concluded that the treatment with a 30% reduction in organic fertilizer had the highest yield.
