Flower name: 'Yi Yipin' was named by Zhuangshi. Origin: selected by Yipin in Hong Kong, China. Details: In 2005, an old pseudobulb of Yipin Mei produced a new shoot, from which a mutation with striped variegation appeared; the linear variegation runs from the pseudobulb all the way to the leaf tip, and it has now continued through successive generations. Hong Kong, China, orchid enthusiast Mr. Zhu Bokuan introduced one of the Yipin Mei plants from the same group as p16, and it also produced claw-type variegation. This shows that Yipin Mei is an excellent variety with both fine flowers and fine foliage, tending toward multiple variegation types.
