Gaolan County, Gansu Strengthens Quality and Safety Supervision of Agricultural Products During the Two Festivals

In order to effectively protect the health of consumers and ensure the effective supply and consumption safety of agricultural products throughout the county during the 2016 New Year's Day and Spring Festival, on January 13, the Gaolan County Seed Management Station, together with the Lanzhou Municipal Agricultural Product Quality Supervision and Management Center and the County Agricultural Technology Service Center, conducted supervision and inspection of key vegetable production areas throughout the county. The inspection team of 6 people went separately to Shidong and Shichuan towns, inspected the solar greenhouses in Putao Yuan, Fengshui Village and Niwan Village, and took samples of 5 vegetable varieties including tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, Shanghai bok choy and lettuce for testing. At the same time, they inspected agricultural input products such as pesticides and seeds sold at 4 agricultural input retail stores.
