Characteristics and features of the Cymbidium sinense 'Sudie' with photo display

Fully pure-colored, clear lip, occasionally with butterfly transformation. A pure-colored side-petal butterfly orchid, but unfortunately the butterfly transformation is unstable. It needs sufficient nutrients to produce a good bloom; when it blooms poorly, it is just a plain flower.

Pure-colored butterfly orchids are extremely rare, so their economic value is far higher than that of halo butterfly orchids. This is especially true for multi-flowered pure-colored butterfly orchid varieties; for example, the Cymbidium sinense 'Sudie', in which every flower shows the pure-colored butterfly variation, can be said to be one in ten thousand.
