Introduction to the Cymbidium 'Love of Sun Moon Lake' Variety

A dual-purpose flower and foliage variety discovered around 2005 in the treasure island region of Sun Moon Lake. In 2011, this variety was brought to the mainland from the treasure island by Mr. Jiang of Taiwan, China, and was jointly named with Feng Dafeng. Because the flower was discovered at Sun Moon Lake, it was named 'Love of Sun Moon Lake'. Sun Moon Lake is very deep, and its water is emerald green. In the middle of the lake there is a beautiful small island called Guanghua Island. The small island divides the lake water into two halves. The northern side resembles a round sun and is called Sun Lake; the southern side resembles a crescent moon and is called Moon Lake. In the early morning, a thin mist drifts over the lake surface. The morning stars at the horizon and the scattered lights on the mountains are faintly reflected in the lake water. At noon, with the sun high overhead, the entire beautiful scenery of Sun Moon Lake and the surrounding buildings are clearly presented before the eyes. If a fine drizzle falls, Sun Moon Lake seems draped in a light gauze, and the surrounding scenery becomes hazy, like a fairyland in a fairy tale.
