Detailed introduction to the Chunlan (Cymbidium goeringii) cultivar Yudie Xianrui

This flower was collected from the wild in 2005 in Lincang, Yunnan. At that time it was two seedlings of grass, bearing flowers, and was bought and kept by the Yunnan orchid grower Mr. Yang Enhong. It is the one and only superb red-shell pure-color flower discovered among Chunlan (Cymbidium goeringii) to date. The outer petals are purplish-red, while the secondary petals and the lip are as white as jade, with a very good milky and glutinous texture. The column has become milky and hollow-tube-shaped, quite stable, and absolutely 100% will not open a normal flower. It is just that if the grass is not robust, sometimes the secondary petals will carry a little red crystal. It generally bears 2-3 flowers, the flower stems are very tall and stand well above the leaves, very beautiful. This grass has a very good glutinous texture, the leaf tips are heavily crystallized, the leaf veins are crystal-bright, the leaf surface and leaf edges are smooth, the grass has a semi-arching leaf habit, and the leaf width is 0.8-1.3 cm. The pot I am uploading now has been cultivated in Kunming for several consecutive years. Everyone knows that Kunming is like spring all year round, with no vernalization period. Kunming has high temperatures, so it blooms early, the flower scape is very weak, and only one flower opened. This flower has a refreshing fragrance, and the purplish-red outer three petals and the jade-white inner three petals set each other off beautifully, with clear layering.
