Introduction to the characteristics of the Luzhou Hexian Cymbidium ensifolium variety
Produced in the mountains at the border between Xuyong County, Luzhou, Sichuan and Guizhou, with semi-soft cupped petals, outer three petals in lotus form, and a tender yellow flower color.
Luzhou Hexian belongs to the four-season orchid (Cymbidium ensifolium). Its outer three petals are emerald green, with the characteristics of narrowed base, flared angles, and tight edges, clearly showing the traits of a narcissus petal. The cupped petals are short and round with white tips, the lip is short, round, and spread flat, drooping just slightly, and the central column structure as a whole is round and neat. Judging from the central column structure, it has the characteristics of a lotus, so calling it Hexian (Lotus Immortal) is entirely justified.
