History: Produced in Mount Emei, Sichuan.
Stature: Leaf posture upright and slanting, plant shape robust and majestic, sitting above the crowd. Each plant has about 2-4 leaves, leaf length 21-45cm, leaf width 1.0-2.1cm, flower diameter about 3cm, broad leaf material, uneven leaf surface, obvious veins, thick texture.
Appearance: Belongs to the plum-type narcissus petal, each scape bears 4-6 flowers, petals thick and full, the center of the flower remains unchanged after long blooming, excellent flower retention, flower color warm and moist as jade.
Comment: This flower should be regarded as the finest of red-turning-green plum narcissus; the only shortcoming is that the colors of the scape, stalk, and petals are not harmonious. If the flower scape were also pure in color, it would reach the supreme realm of perfection. Among Jianlan plum narcissus, the Xiahuangmei was once unrivalled in the world, but today Yumei has a strong tendency to replace it.
