Detailed Introduction to the Cymbidium ensifolium Variety 'China Peony'

Sankai purchased it from Guangxin Orchid Garden, and kept four seedlings. In 2010 he passed two seedlings on to me. Special thanks to Sankai. I found it very hard to grow. That year it put out a shoot, which stalled. In 2011 it put out another shoot, but one seedling died back, and another died back halfway, yet I feel it has pulled through, and flowering next year should be no problem. According to Sankai, this variety is, in Guangxin's reply, a traditional variety. I suspect the name 'China Peony' was just made up by Guangxin. When it blooms next year I will verify its true identity; for now I will make do with Sankai's flowering photos.
