The greatest characteristics of this flower are its high flowering rate, high stability (it will not deform even when watered during the blooming period), and high ornamental value. This variety first appeared in 2012 at the 3rd China Orchid Conference in Dali Prefecture, Yunnan, and won a gold award. It is currently the most promising new variety among the premium lotus-type selections bred from wild Cymbidium tortisepalum, possessing the most typical true lotus-petal characteristics. This variety currently has a total of more than 40 old and young plants, and only 5-7 of them have reached commercial seedling size.
