Most striking is the entire lip, which is deep red and velvety, brilliant and eye-catching. It is an extremely precious red-pigmented variety among Chunlan, and together with the Lianbanlan (Cymbidium tortisepalum) "Bilong Hongsu" it is known as one of the "Two Red Treasures" of Yunnan orchids. It was collected from the wild in 2004 and has rebloomed every year since, with stable characteristics. The appearance of this variety filled the gap in red-pigmented Yunnan-produced Chunlan. It was first publicly unveiled at the 2007 Dali Spring Orchid Show, where it won the Special Gold Award, and it also won the Silver Award at the Dali International Orchid and Camellia Expo.
