Zuihe was selected in the early 1990s by an orchid grower surnamed Chen from Beijiao, Shunde, Guangdong, from wild-collected Cymbidium sinense seedlings. Its leaf form is like a leaping dragon and a pouncing tiger, and it produces large lotus-type flowers with a large round red lip. It was named by the senior orchid expert Mr. Lin Zhongxian.
