Origin: Nanhai, Guangdong. Guihuo: Cymbidium sinense, lotus-petal type, a famous variety. Selected and bred in 995 by Nanhai orchid enthusiast Guo Mingquan. Characteristics: The pseudobulb is round, the leaves are broad and thick, the leaf tips contract inward to form a hood-like shape, the leaf color is emerald green, and the tail end of the leaf margin has fine serrations; each scape bears 9-15 flowers, the flower shape is upright and dignified, the buds are fairly densely arranged, and the flowers are slightly fragrant. Some experts commented: "Guihuo" is a semi-dwarf lotus-petal Cymbidium sinense, a remarkable selection from wild-collected orchids; after 7 years of flowering, its flower shape is stable.

Introduction: On February 5, 1995, it was registered with the China Orchid Association by Nanhai orchid enthusiast Guo Mingquan, number (Lan) 023.
