Introduction to the characteristics of the Piaohaitang Chun Jian orchid variety
A fine Piao Mei Chun Jian orchid collected in the mountains of Sichuan: Piaohaitang. This variety is a Piao Mei type, with an elegant bearing, a dignified flower form, flowers held well above the leaves, and a rich fragrance; it readily produces crystal-patterned (su jing) markings on the leaves. Piaohaitang is a new Chun Jian variety. When the flower is in full bloom, the three outer petals curve slightly backward, but do not twist back much, giving it a floating, otherworldly grace like a beauty standing apart from the world, and its form is somewhat similar to another traditional famous Chun Jian cultivar, "Yuhaitang"...
