Introduction to the Characteristics of the Cymbidium lianpan 'Jianhu Xiongying' Variety
The Cymbidium lianpan odd flower 'Jianhu Xiongying', developed in 2004, made its first appearance at the Spring Orchid Exhibition at the Dali Flower and Bird Market in 2006, capturing the attention of orchid enthusiasts from both within and beyond Yunnan Province. This variety belongs to the thin-leaved Cymbidium lianpan type, with thick leaves that grow in an oblique-upright posture. The leaves are 30-40 cm long and 0.3-0.5 cm wide, with 2-3 flowers per scape. The tip of the flower's column splits, producing numerous small petal-like segments with butterfly-type flower patterns. The petals are simply and elegantly arranged, curving gracefully like an eagle about to take flight and beat its wings, as if an eagle were soaring above Jian Lake, a truly spectacular and exquisitely delicate sight.
