What is Da Huang Jin (Cymbidium sinense 'Da Huang Jin')? An introduction to its variety characteristics

Da Huang Jin was selected by the Shenzhen Wutong Mountain Nursery General Farm. It is one of the relatively high-grade Meixian (plum fairy) types developed in recent years, and the total number of seedlings of this variety is currently very small. It is one of the rare excellent varieties for Cymbidium sinense enthusiasts to introduce. Da Huang Jin was jokingly called "jia jiao huo" (pinched-foot goods) by its discoverer because the two leaf stalks in the middle of the seedling are often pinched together. Even without flowers, this variety is quite easy to identify.
