Potato and tuber deep processing welcomes its first national industrial technology innovation alliance

On May 27, the country's first "National Potato and Tuber Deep Processing Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance" was established in Beijing. After its establishment, the alliance will build a technology innovation system and collaborative innovation platform for the potato and tuber deep processing industry that is enterprise-led, market-oriented, and integrates industry, academia, and research, so as to promote the healthy development of China's potato and tuber deep processing industry.

According to reports, China's research on the utilization and comprehensive development of potatoes and tubers is still at an early stage, and the overall development level of the potato and tuber deep processing industry is not high enough, making it urgent to improve technological innovation capacity. In response to these problems, Qinhuangdao Xindi Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd. initiated and, together with relevant agricultural enterprises, research institutes, and universities, jointly established the strategic alliance.

It is reported that the alliance's main tasks include: organizing enterprises, universities, and research institutions to carry out technical cooperation around key issues in industrial technological innovation; establishing a public technology platform to achieve effective division of labor and rational connection of innovation resources and to implement intellectual property sharing; implementing technology transfer to accelerate the commercial application of scientific and technological achievements; and jointly cultivating talent and strengthening personnel exchanges and interaction.
