Changes in the National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index on May 29, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on May 29 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 199.76, down 0.07 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 200.37, down 0.02 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at agricultural wholesale markets nationwide was 19.35 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 164.73), up 0.3% from yesterday;

Beef 53.86 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Mutton 49.34 yuan/kg, down 0.6% from yesterday;

Eggs 7.29 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.73 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.32 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 194.15), down 0.6% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.49 yuan/kg, down 0.8% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.18 yuan/kg, up 1.4% from yesterday;

Common carp 13.60 yuan/kg, down 0.4% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.19 yuan/kg, down 1.8% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 28.00 yuan/kg, down 1.7% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties of fresh and live agricultural products at domestic wholesale markets under key monitoring, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: cabbage, Welsh onion, cauliflower, lettuce and pineapple, with increases of 5.1%, 3.7%, 3.3%, 2.7% and 2.2% respectively; the top five price decreases were: green beans, Kyoho grapes, Ya pears, cucumbers and Chinese chives, with decreases of 4.1%, 3.1%, 2.7%, 2.7% and 2.6% respectively.
