National wheat harvest progress reaches one and a half tenths; Hubei wheat harvest enters its final stage
As of 17:00 on May 29, 5009 million mu of wheat has been harvested in the national winter wheat region, of which 3291 million mu was harvested by machine, and the wheat harvest progress has reached one and a half tenths. On that day, 57,600 combine harvesters were put into operation, and 497 million mu of wheat was harvested by machine daily. The wheat harvest in southwest China is basically over, and the wheat harvest in Hubei Province is entering its final stage. At present, the main battlefield of the wheat harvest has shifted to the Jianghuai and Huanghuai regions, and wheat in southern Henan, central Anhui, southern Jiangsu and other places has been fully cut.
According to the weather forecast, from June 1 to 3, China will see light to moderate rain from west to east, with local heavy rain or rainstorms in southern Huanghuai, which is unfavorable for wheat harvesting and drying. The Ministry of Agriculture requires regions where wheat has matured to pay close attention to weather changes, release operation information in a timely manner, strengthen the scheduling of harvesting machinery, do a good job in technical services and maintenance support, effectively give play to the role of agricultural machinery as the main force, go all out to seize fine weather and harvest, and strive to snatch grain from the dragon's mouth.
Henan has harvested nearly 10 million mu of wheat
On May 31, the reporter learned from the Henan Provincial Agricultural Machinery Bureau that as of 17:00 that day, the province had harvested 991 million mu of wheat, accounting for more than one tenth of the 8170 million mu sown wheat area. Among them, the machine-harvested area was 967 million mu, 50,000 combine harvesters were put into operation daily, and 365 million mu of wheat was harvested daily.
This year, Nanyang City's wheat planting area is 901 million mu, an increase of 0.3% over the previous year, and the machine-harvestable area is 750 million mu. Since Nanyang City began harvesting on May 25, 429 million mu has been harvested so far, and the wheat harvest is close to half. In addition, Zhumadian, Xinyang, Pingdingshan, Xincai, Ruzhou and other places harvested 263 million mu, 163 million mu, 18.5 million mu, 8 million mu, and 6 million mu of wheat respectively. Because Dengzhou City had more rainfall in May than in previous years, the wheat fields had high humidity, and the moisture content of wheat after maturity was high, harvesting was affected, and the harvest period was delayed by 5-7 days. As of 17:00 on May 31, Dengzhou City had harvested 91 million mu of wheat. According to forecasts by the meteorological department, from June 1 to 3, Dengzhou City will have obvious rainfall, and there will be another rainfall process around June 7, causing difficulties for machine harvesting of wheat.
