This variety originates from the Wenshan area of Taiwan, China, and together with Datun Qilin, Guoxiang Mudan, Fucui and Yu Shizi, it is known as one of the five great exotic flowers of Taiwanese Cymbidium sinense. The column-centered petals of this variety have become petaloid (butterfly-like), and they open uniformly upward, like dancing butterflies.
