Orchid enthusiast Yu Xiaoyi, inspired by the meaning of "in the prime of youth," named it Fenghua Mei.
In March 2010, Fenghua Mei bloomed again, and its floral quality was very stable, looking even more spirited than when it was first collected. At this time, Chongqing was hosting the 20th National Orchid Expo. After being exhibited, it captivated countless orchid fans and also received unanimous recognition from the judges, winning a gold award. It is even more worth mentioning that this flower's floral form holds very well; when cut half a month after blooming, it still showed no distortion whatsoever. Because it bloomed stably on reflowering, it won the gold award.
