December 21, 2007, was a day worth celebrating for Hua Jing. The specially invited guest who came to Shanghai to attend the founding conference of the "Shanghai Agricultural Society Orchid Professional Committee," Wang Kejian, vice president of the Wenling City Orchid Association of Zhejiang Province and owner of the well-known Tianlong Pavilion, brought Hua Jing 2 seedlings of the long-coveted Cymbidium faberi 'Tianlong Surui Die'. Overjoyed, he posted photos of the flowers to share with fellow orchid enthusiasts.
When the Cymbidium faberi 'Tianlong Surui Die' was collected from the wild, it was kept by the well-known Shanghai orchid grower Teacher Wang Dongfang and the well-known Nanjing orchid grower Liu Xiaojun. In 2002, all the plants cultivated by Teacher Wang were resold to Wang Kejian, becoming part of the Tianlong Pavilion collection. From 2002 to the present, Tianlong Pavilion has had 3 flower buds, with 2 successful blooms, and the rebloomed flowers are identical to those when first collected from the wild.
