Rises and Falls of the National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index on June 2, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on June 2 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 200.62, up 0.88 points from yesterday, of which the “Shopping Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 201.34, up 1.03 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at agricultural wholesale markets nationwide was 19.43 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 164.97), up 0.2% from yesterday;

Beef 53.89 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday;

Mutton 48.79 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Eggs 7.23 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.77 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetable varieties was 3.35 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 197.76), unchanged from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruit varieties was 6.25 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.29 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Common carp 13.50 yuan/kg, down 0.2% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.19 yuan/kg, unchanged from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 28.00 yuan/kg, down 2.0% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties key monitored at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, the top five price increases compared with yesterday were: cabbage, Chinese chives, cauliflower, spinach and celtuce, with increases of 4.8%, 3.9%, 3.1%, 3.1% and 2.1% respectively; the top five price decreases were: tomatoes, mandarin oranges, zucchini, eggplant and green peppers, with decreases of 2.6%, 2.6%, 2.3%, 2.1% and 2.0% respectively.
