Yuhemei: This variety was purchased from a woman surnamed Chen at the 2006 Qionglai Summer Orchid Trade Fair. When purchased, it had only 2 old pseudobulbs (no new shoots from that year), with one flower scape. Because this flower had a milky white color, a round and compact center, broad and rounded outer petals, a spirited and imposing appearance, and was truly lovely, I liked it very much and purchased it at a high price. After returning home, I sold one old pseudobulb to an orchid friend, and carefully cultivated the remaining old pseudobulb until it bloomed again. Our garden named it "Yuhemei"; this variety from our garden once won an Excellence Award in the "First Chinese Orchid Online New Flower Selection" competition on the China Love Orchid Network; in the summer of 2011, an orchid friend brought this variety to the Meishan Orchid Exhibition, where it won a Gold Award.

Beautiful new variety Yuhemei, the flower is large, the color is like jade, and the form is excellent. This variety is relatively few in number. This grass has broad, mallet-shaped, curved leaves, slightly with water-wave dragon-raising-head form, relatively large pseudobulbs, frequent shoots and frequent blooms, the flower stem stands above the leaves, the flowers are numerous and especially large, the petals are thick and do not droop at all, the side petals are level-shouldered, the center is round and smooth, the color is bright and clean, with a large ruyi round lip, and the overall appearance is very dignified and elegant, with a rich fragrance. It is truly a superior grade among the lotus-plum type of Cymbidium ensifolium. This variety is currently very popular and sought after by Cymbidium ensifolium enthusiasts, so this variety has considerable prospects, and may even become the leader among new petal-type flowers of Cymbidium ensifolium in the future. This flower won a Gold Award at the 2011 Meishan Cross-Strait Orchid Exhibition.
