Traditionally said to be a new flower from Shengzhou, Zhejiang, with relatively little documentation, it remains a somewhat controversial variety.
The three outer petals are pure green and unmarked, broad and large at the tips, with a fine base, traversed by leech-like veins, and distinctly constricted.
The column is hard or silkworm-moth hard, sometimes with a joined back, and the column interior has red speckled markings.
The Liu Hai tongue is long and pointed, with curling, and rich fine red dots.
The bud sheath is mercury red, densely covered with purplish-red veins. The terminal bract is plump and almost entirely fleshy. The flower stalk turns from red to green.
The leaves are broad and deep in color, rather soft and drooping, with obvious gloss. The new shoots are red in color, with prominent purple veins.

The new shoots are pale purplish-red, the leaves are 25-30 cm long and about 1 cm wide, the leaf color is emerald green leaning pale, and the new leaves have a slight gloss. The veins are fine, and the serrations along the leaf margins are fine and dense. The basal leaves arch and droop with the tips upturned in a spoon shape. The leaf texture is thick and glutinous-smooth, and the leaf posture is semi-drooping. The flower stem is mercury red, and the top node of the flower stalk turns emerald green. The sheath (the bud covering close to the stem) is green with rich coloring, marked with several purplish-red vein lines, each running all the way to the tip. The flower color is emerald green, and the petal flesh is thick. The three outer petals are short-footed and round-headed, with tight edges and an extremely fine base, and the petal tips have a notch. The main petal is in an upper-covering shape, and the two lateral sepals (side petals) extend horizontally, forming a typical flat shoulder. The petals form a silkworm-moth hooded column, round, neat and smooth. The lip is relaxed, forming a large silver-white spread tongue, with only a faint reddish halo dot visible on the tongue surface.
