What is the difference between Seven Fairies and Qingshan Yuquan?
Also called Fujian Ruyi Mei. This flower is a distinctive variety from Fujian. It falls between Jianlan (Cymbidium ensifolium) and Minhui (a Fujian cymbidium type) (not a pure strain). Its flowering period is generally one month later than Minhui. The flowering period is similar to that of Daqing. I do not yet know this flower very well and cannot fully describe it~! The flower is about 4 cm across, with five petals in separate segments, and the outer three petals are first-rate...
Orchid friend Sha Xiao Wo Ye: Both are Jianlan (Cymbidium ensifolium) varieties that bloom relatively easily. Both are good whether in sending up shoots or blooming. They bloom frequently, send up shoots frequently, and are traditional famous varieties with good quality and low price. The outer petals of Seven Fairies are slightly wider and larger, and the thickness is about the same. Seven Fairies belongs to the exotic flower type, with the lip petal transformed. The leaf shape really is somewhat different; the leaf shape of Seven Fairies is relatively spreading, while the leaf shape of Qingshan is a bit more attractive. The fragrance of both is good. Based on my two groups, I feel Seven Fairies has a stronger fragrance.
The leaves of Seven Fairies are stiff and upturned, with a texture like plastic. The leaves of Qingshan are soft and graceful, and the flowers have a green rim, slightly nodding with a tender, affectionate look. Seven Fairies has larger flowers, stands above the leaves, and has a very good overall effect. It is common in the south, but there are few naturally cultivated ones, especially Seven Fairies, whose stress resistance may be somewhat weaker.
