Generally speaking, the "two rots" refer to soft rot and stem rot. Soft rot is a bacterial disease, while stem rot is a fungal disease.
Orchid soft rot: it is a bacterial disease, and its pathogenic bacteria belong to the genus Erwinia. It usually attacks new shoots and new buds, which can be pulled away with a gentle tug, and after onset there is a foul-smelling rot. If soft rot is discovered in time, it is possible to avoid losing the entire pot of plants (unlike stem rot, which is not so terrifying, as it is generally very difficult to save once discovered with the naked eye).
Control methods: First, stop watering. Water is the foundation of all things, and this saying also applies well to bacterial reproduction. Second, divide the plants, separating out the diseased shoots. Third, fungicides: options include agricultural streptomycin and copper-based copper hydroxide. Spray twice at an interval of 7 days.
