How much does one seedling of the Jianlan orchid Banjiang Hong cost, and its orchid characteristics
A new red-flowered variety of Sijilan orchid, with beautiful flower color and stable blooming. Half the river shivers, half the river glows red~~ Green stems with red flowers, large blooms with fragrance, and relatively stable flower color, with about 3 flowers per stem. It is a very cost-effective colored-flower variety of Sijilan orchid from Emei! The price is about 200 to 300 yuan per seedling, which is rather expensive.
| Banjiang Hong ---- Its place of origin is the Qingyi River basin in Sichuan, and it was selected by an orchid enthusiast surnamed Chen from Emei. This variety has always been deeply loved by orchid enthusiasts. This variety has emerald-green leaves, a mid-drooping leaf shape, and an elegant leaf posture. The flowers turn from green to red; the flower scapes and buds are green when they emerge, and begin to change color when the buds are arranged, with sufficient light giving better color change, a bright and festive red. When the flowers open well, the lip is covered with red velvet and is very vivid, the flower shape is upright, and the three outer petals have a beautiful red blended color. In late autumn, when the temperature is low and the buds develop for a longer time, the flowers that open are even more gorgeous, comparable to high-end red plain orchids~~ A very gorgeous and festive good flower! |
However, because Banjiang Hong is also called Jiao Niangzi, it has even more charm! Shy yet somewhat delicate and beautiful. People from Sichuan chose "Banjiang Hong", possibly based on Bai Juyi's poem "A ray of setting sun spreads over the water, half the river shivers, half the river glows red." It has imagery but not meaning. Calling it "Jiao Niangzi" is more fitting!
