Report from this website: Currently, the major wheat-producing provinces of North China and the Huang-Huai-Hai region have successively begun harvesting. The nationwide cross-regional mechanical wheat harvesting is advancing in echelons from south to north, and the "three summers" production has entered its peak. As of 17:00 on June 9, 195.46 million mu of winter wheat had been harvested nationwide, exceeding 50% of the sown area, and the summer wheat harvest progress is more than halfway complete.

This network news  Currently, the major wheat-producing provinces in North China and the Huang-Huai-Hai region have successively begun harvesting, and the national cross-regional mechanical wheat harvesting work is advancing in echelons from south to north, with "three summer" production entering its peak. As of 17:00 on June 9, 195.46 million mu of winter wheat had been harvested nationwide, exceeding 50% of the sown area, and more than half of the summer wheat harvest had been completed. On that day, 473,000 combine harvesters were put into operation, and 23.98 million mu of wheat were mechanically harvested that day, with the mechanical harvesting rate reaching 89%.

Since the large-scale cross-regional mechanical wheat harvesting began on May 27 this year, overall progress has been smooth. From June 7 to 9, the national daily mechanical wheat harvesting area exceeded 23 million mu for three consecutive days, and both the single-day amount of harvesting machinery deployed and the daily mechanical wheat harvesting area reached new highs, with progress clearly accelerating. Among them, the wheat harvest in Sichuan and Hubei provinces has already ended; Anhui has harvested 39.52 million mu of wheat, with progress exceeding 90%; Henan has harvested 68.84 million mu of wheat, with progress exceeding 80%; Jiangsu has harvested 16.65 million mu of wheat, with progress exceeding half; Shaanxi has harvested 6.15 million mu of wheat, with progress nearing 40%; Shandong has harvested 13.92 million mu of wheat, with progress exceeding 20%; Hebei and Shanxi have wheat harvest progress exceeding 10%.

Agricultural mechanization authorities at all levels have earnestly carried out the organization, management, and technical service work for cross-regional mechanical wheat harvesting, and distributed 340,000 "Cross-Regional Operation Certificates" free of charge. They organized matching between market supply and demand in advance, strengthened information guidance, and promoted the orderly flow of combine harvesters. A total of 3,234 cross-regional mechanical harvesting reception service stations were established in the major wheat-producing areas, effectively maintaining operation order during the "three summer" period. This year, more than 30,000 combine harvesters were added in various places, mostly high-performance machinery with a feed rate of more than 5 kilograms, and operation efficiency and quality have clearly improved. Major wheat-producing areas have vigorously promoted agricultural mechanization technologies such as straw crushing and returning to the field and pickup baling, combining diversion and blocking to promote the resource-based and clean utilization of straw. Agricultural machinery cooperatives have become the main force in "three summer" production, and the degree of organization of cross-regional operations has further increased.

While rushing to harvest wheat, summer corn sowing work was immediately launched. Agricultural machinery departments vigorously promoted the full-process mechanized operation model of mechanical wheat harvesting, straw treatment, and mechanical corn sowing, striving to "harvest one mu as soon as it is ripe, and sow one mu as soon as it is harvested," with summer harvesting and summer sowing carried out simultaneously. As of June 9, 673,000 seeders had been put into operation nationwide, completing 78.2 million mu of summer corn sowing. According to weather forecasts, most of North China, the Huang-Huai region, and most of the Northwest region will continue to have fine weather over the next 5 days, which is conducive to the late-stage maturity, harvesting, and drying of winter wheat. The Ministry of Agriculture requires agricultural mechanization departments in all localities to carry forward the work style of continuous fighting, strengthen responsibility and commitment, and earnestly achieve the "two musts": First, the pace of "three summer" must be accelerated. Machinery scheduling must be strengthened, and every effort must be made to seize fine weather for harvesting and seize soil moisture for sowing, transforming the summer grain "bumper harvest in sight" into "bumper harvest in hand," while sowing enough autumn grain to fill the fields and laying a solid foundation for increasing grain production for the whole year. Second, the order of "three summer" production must be well maintained. Departmental coordination must be strengthened, and continued efforts must be made in traffic guidance, meteorological services, fuel supply and maintenance, and safe production for cross-regional operation vehicles, jointly escorting "three summer" production.
