Origin and Characteristics of the Jianlan Orchid 'Shuichang He'
A standard lotus-petal variety of the four-season orchid (Cymbidium ensifolium), discovered in 2000 at Jinshuitan, Yunhe, Lishui. 'Shuichang He' was dug up by Master He Shuichang in 1998 on the mountain at Jinshuitan, Yunhe county, Lishui city; the flower is a standard lotus-petal form of the four-season orchid. Lotus-petal four-season orchids are indeed very rare in Jiangsu and Zhejiang, making this a variety worth collecting.

Shuichang He has semi-pendulous leaves; the leaves of strong plants are broader than those of 'Cuiyu He', and the new shoots are green with red veins!
