This flower was purchased in December 2008 during its blooming period from an orchid enthusiast in Lipu for 6000 yuan; at the time it was a clump of 17 shoots in bloom. By 2009, 'Xinyisu' had about twenty-plus shoots, and by 2010 about thirty-plus shoots. To date, including those given away as gifts, the total quantity of 'Xinyisu' is about fifty-plus shoots. 'Xinyisu', named by Macao, China orchid enthusiast "Damo", truly lives up to its name. She is a flower of purity -- after cultivating it, I have never sold a single shoot, but have given them all as gifts to over a dozen orchid enthusiasts, and I now keep six shoots for myself.
