Introduction to the Large Red Cinnabar Spring Sword Orchid Variety

Large Red Cinnabar; Spring Sword, a traditional famous variety; one of the four great famous flowers of Sichuan orchids, (Snow Orchid, Large Red Cinnabar, Longchang Su, Ivory Yellow Su); the red flower among the two flowers of red and white. (White refers to Snow Orchid, while red refers to Large Red Cinnabar).

Large Red Cinnabar is a traditional famous flower of Chengdu, with its place of origin in the mountainous area of Pengzhou City. It is also one of the rare famous varieties in the "red flower category" of Spring Sword orchids collected in modern China and discovered to date. Because of its brilliant flower color, pure fragrance, and robust plant, it is renowned at home and abroad. Especially every Spring Festival, when the large red flower buds of Cinnabar Orchid bloom and give off a delicate fragrance, it not only adds festive joy to the holiday, but also perfectly harmonizes with the auspicious culture of the Chinese people, and is deeply favored by several generations.

Large Red Cinnabar has the distinction of "bubble stem" and "iron stem." The finest "iron stem" Cinnabar Orchid is even more outstanding. Using the two words "iron stem" to describe the posture of Cinnabar Orchid, with its firm, upright leaves, vigorous yet graceful, is not an exaggeration. A qualified "iron stem" has orchid leaves at least 60cm tall, with a leaf width of nearly 2cm; with tangled roots and magnificent momentum; when in flower, one scape bears three to four flowers, with a rosy flower color and elegant fragrance. The enchanting blossoms and the flowing orchid leaves set each other off beautifully, truly presenting the soft charm and graceful posture of Cinnabar Orchid.
