Cymbidium goeringii 'Lüding' (Lüyunding) Variety Introduction

       This orchid is a tissue-cultured variety of the Lüyun series (Lüyun is known as the Green Cloud Queen among Cymbidium goeringii). Although it is tissue-cultured, it has very high ornamental value. It is the third-generation product of the Lüyun series and a double-art supreme combining the flower quality of the Lüyun Queen with central-stripe variegation, with very good variegation color contrast, and it is also the most stable and highest-grade central-stripe variegation among variegated orchids, truly a favorite of orchid enthusiasts, with stable flowering characteristics, stable flower quality, and good fragrance. Although it cannot compare with the wild-type species, from the long-term development trend it also represents the arrival of the era of human technology, and also the arrival of orchid floral-art varieties        

(Analogies: variegated plum-petal, variegated strange flower, variegated lotus-petal, variegated colored flower, variegated butterfly flower, etc.) This flower comes from South Korea. Although it is tissue-cultured, the quantity is not large, and South Korean orchid enthusiasts are unwilling to sell it.

        Tip: Variegated orchids should be kept drier than ordinary orchids, the temperature should not be too high, and sunlight should not be too intense.
