The Chunlan (Cymbidium goeringii) 'Jinxiu Ruhua' is as beautiful as a painting, with extremely high ornamental value.
'Jinxiu Ruhua' was named by Jinxiu Yuan. The origin of this name dates back to 2011 when we several orchid enthusiasts discussed and chose it together while attending the Anhui Ma'anshan Chunlan Exhibition. After winning the gold award at the Anhui Provincial Orchid Exhibition, it became well known among orchid enthusiasts. The plant color leans yellow-green, the plant texture is rather thin, the leaves are narrow and long, the leaf surface is flat, the leaf tips are slightly twisted, and the petioles are slender. Normal flower buds are mottled purple, and the deep purple-red patches on the flower's petal lips form a three-point arrangement like the Chinese character "pin", rather than a single whole patch of red. The inner side of the lateral lobes is entirely covered with red patches, not merely having red patches on both sides.
