Introduction to the characteristics of the Shengshi Hongyun cymbidium variety
Apart from Fenghuang Orchid Garden, this flower has been introduced and propagated by three local friends in Taizhou including Qingyihou, and I currently have only four seedlings left in my hands. At the suggestion of my orchid friend Qingyihou, this flower was named "Shengshi Hongyun". Up to now, there are at most just over ten seedlings of this flower. Moreover, none have flowed out a second time. I imagine my orchid friend "Shuishangpiao" probably does not have this plant in hand, and the photos posted were also reposted on the Guolan Network.

This flower was collected in the wild in the southwest in early last year. When collected, there were seven seedlings in total, connected in a string with old pseudobulbs and three flower spikes. The leaf shape is extremely robust and elegant, and the flower buds are shaped like small pomegranates. At that time it was just at the small budding stage, and among the entire stem only the bud sheaths carried a pinkish watermark color, while the rest of the entire stem was extremely clean in its transition from red to green, with a tender green color. With red and green interspersed, it looked just like a piece of finely carved, exquisitely translucent natural jadeite. Because a large area of the roots was damaged when it was collected, after planting, the nutrient supply to the whole flower was clearly insufficient, and the three spikes opened directly before they had time to reach the large budding stage, so the flowers appeared not fully extended, with the arrangement slightly crowded. However, during the opening process, the three outer petals and the petals of the column spread wider as they opened, and the texture of all five petals is extremely thick. The column petals are larger than the main petals, and the upper ends of the column petals show obvious masculinization, with white tips on the column ends. Short round tongue, with fresh red markings on the green moss, brilliantly bright, and the fuzz is extremely obvious. It is a typical wandering-door immortal with flared corners at the mid-section. I believe that after it is rejuvenated, the bloom should be even more imposing, beautiful and distinctive.
Both Fenghuang Orchid Garden and Qingyihou have posted this flower on the Guolan Network, and it once won unanimous praise from the broad community of orchid friends. Several moderators of the Guolan Network, including Ding Jianxing, believe that this flower is an official-type supreme grade, and can be ranked alongside Laofengqiao and Duoyun as typical representatives of the old, middle and new three generations of wandering-door cymbidiums. My orchid cultivation skills are shallow, and I only know that it is something with distinctive features, but I do not know how to judge this flower. Now I am specially posting it here and ask you all to correct me.
