Corn purchases in main producing areas reached 30.16 million tonnes as of November 25

According to statistics, as of November 25, various grain enterprises in the main producing areas had purchased a cumulative total of 64.38 million tonnes of middle- and late-season rice, corn and soybeans, an increase of 9.17 million tonnes over the same period last year. Various grain enterprises in 14 main producing areas including Hubei and Anhui had purchased a cumulative total of 16.22 million tonnes of newly harvested middle- and late-season indica rice, a decrease of 500,000 tonnes year on year. Various grain enterprises in 7 main producing areas including Heilongjiang had purchased a cumulative total of 17.69 million tonnes of newly harvested japonica rice, a decrease of 530,000 tonnes year on year. Various grain enterprises in 11 main producing areas including Heilongjiang and Shandong had purchased a cumulative total of 30.16 million tonnes of newly harvested corn, an increase of 10.47 million tonnes year on year. Various grain enterprises in 5 main producing areas including Heilongjiang had purchased a cumulative total of 310,000 tonnes of newly harvested soybeans, a decrease of 270,000 tonnes year on year.
