National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index rises and falls on July 1, 2015

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on July 1 the “National Agricultural Wholesale Price Index” was 202.92, up 0.75 points from yesterday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Product Wholesale Price Index was 204.03, up 0.77 points from yesterday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at national agricultural wholesale markets was 20.85 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 171.25), up 0.8% from yesterday;

Beef 54.14 yuan/kg, up 0.6% from yesterday;

Mutton 48.58 yuan/kg, up 0.4% from yesterday;

Eggs 7.11 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from yesterday;

Dressed chicken 14.24 yuan/kg, down 1.4% from yesterday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.42 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 211.96), up 0.6% from yesterday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 6.00 yuan/kg, up 0.3% from yesterday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.31 yuan/kg, down 1.2% from yesterday;

Common carp 13.69 yuan/kg, up 0.1% from yesterday;

Silver carp 7.17 yuan/kg, up 2.7% from yesterday;

Largehead hairtail 27.40 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from yesterday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at domestic fresh agricultural product wholesale markets, compared with yesterday the top five price increases were: Chinese chives, eggplant, silver carp, shiitake mushroom and white radish, with increases of 4.8%, 3.8%, 2.7%, 2.7% and 2.3% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cauliflower, bighead carp, celery, green pepper and banana, with decreases of 3.9%, 2.5%, 1.9%, 1.8% and 1.6% respectively.
