Discovered in the wild on Jintang Island, Zhoushan, Zhejiang, China. Selected and named by Xu Xianjun. When it was collected from the wild, it was a few beautiful small seedlings with dragon roots that held the hope of producing lotus-petal flowers. At the time it was traded at a high price and was extremely popular for a while. The orchid enthusiast who collected it named it personally. The total number of plants is very small. It is a small plant with large flowers; even a well-grown plant is only about 20 cm tall. The flower buds are round, plump and ruddy, very distinctive, and at first glance look like the buds of Cymbidium goeringii 'Cuigaihe'.
