July 6, 2015 National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index Week-on-Week

According to monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture, on July 6 the “National Agricultural Products Wholesale Price Index” was 203.49, down 1.38 points from last Friday, of which the “Vegetable Basket” Products Wholesale Price Index was 204.78, down 1.71 points from last Friday.

As of 14:00 today, the average price of pork at wholesale markets for agricultural products nationwide was 21.35 yuan/kg (the pork wholesale price index was 174.80), up 0.6% from last Friday;

Beef was 53.92 yuan/kg, down 0.1% from last Friday;

Mutton was 48.16 yuan/kg, down 1.0% from last Friday;

Eggs were 7.04 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from last Friday;

Dressed chicken was 14.46 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from last Friday.

The average price of the 28 key monitored vegetables was 3.46 yuan/kg (the vegetable wholesale price index was 218.02), up 0.6% from last Friday;

The average price of the 7 key monitored fruits was 5.83 yuan/kg, down 0.3% from last Friday.

The average price of crucian carp was 14.70 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from last Friday;

Common carp was 13.68 yuan/kg, up 0.5% from last Friday;

Silver carp was 7.03 yuan/kg, down 2.0% from last Friday;

Largehead hairtail was 27.62 yuan/kg, up 0.8% from last Friday.

Today, among the 60 varieties under key monitoring at wholesale markets for fresh and live agricultural products nationwide, compared with last Friday the top five price increases were: yardlong beans, eggplant, zucchini, mandarin orange and cucumber, with increases of 5.3%, 5.2%, 4.8%, 4.7% and 4.5% respectively; the top five price decreases were: cabbage, Kyoho grapes, lotus root, shiitake mushroom and large yellow croaker, with decreases of 5.4%, 5.3%, 3.7%, 2.9% and 2.6% respectively.
