Introduction to the Characteristics of the Cymbidium tortisepalum 'Peizi Huaihuang' Variety
Cymbidium tortisepalum, a rare red-sheath yellow-tongue plain variety, was collected from the wild around 2001 and is currently extremely scarce in quantity. The flower buds are purplish red, with 2-3 flowers blooming per stem, delicately fragrant and far-reaching. The flower stem is purplish red, the outer petals are white with a pink blush, and the lip is goose-yellow, with the back of the lip base being pinkish red. The colors are vivid and striking: a purple stem, yellow lip, and pink-white flowers, bright and lively, fully demonstrating the characteristic of Cymbidium tortisepalum being valued for its color. The color combination carries the beautiful meaning of "wearing purple and embracing yellow." It inevitably brings to mind the lost one among the Four Great Marvelous Flowers of Cymbidium goeringii: the "Purple Ribbon and Golden Seal," which resembles Jiyuan in shape, with a purple stem and yellow flowers.
