Introduction to the characteristics of the Round-Tongue Lotus-Petal Cymbidium (Lianban Lan) variety

Jinbi He (Golden Jade Lotus) looks like a Cymbidium goeringii (Chunlan), but it is actually a naturally occurring hybrid of Dandou Lan (Cymbidium faberi) from Yunnan, belonging to the richly fragrant Dandou type. It is very rare. When in bloom, the flower scape is tall, and the petals have a red base with golden-yellow markings, giving a sense of golden splendor and grandeur.
Originally named Lotus-type Malu Lianban. The flower color is white-green, with dark green veining. The main petal has a constricted base and flared corners; the lateral petals are broad in the middle and rear, with tightly rolled and slightly hooked petal tips, and have seven veins. The column petals form a cupped center, like mussel-shell petals. The lip is white and pure, broad and round, flat and not curled, with encircling red spots and red patches: 7 red spots below and 1 spot above, like the Big Dipper shining in the sky.
